Effective October 18, 2026
The short version: DreamReel collects nothing. There is no account, no DreamReel server, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Your dreams, posters, and readings are created and stored on your iPhone. This page explains exactly what the app does on your device, and the few places where Apple's system services are involved.
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, or share any personal data — including your dream texts, voice recordings, posters, or usage behavior. We could not read your dream journal if we wanted to: it never leaves your phone through us.
Dream interpretation and poster artwork are generated by Apple's Foundation Models framework and Image Playground (Apple Intelligence). Depending on the request and your device, this processing runs on your device or in Apple's Private Cloud Compute, under Apple's privacy protections. DreamReel does not operate any part of this processing and receives nothing from it beyond the result shown to you in the app.
If you dictate a dream, your voice is transcribed by Apple's Speech framework, which may process audio on-device or through Apple servers depending on your device, language, and settings. DreamReel only receives the resulting text; we do not record, store, or transmit your audio ourselves. Microphone access is used only while you are actively dictating.
DreamReel requests add-only Photos access, and only writes a poster or living poster to your library when you tap Save in the share studio. The app cannot read your photo library.
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's privacy policy.
When you share a poster or copy a caption, you choose the destination (for example, your Photos library or another app). Anything you send to a third-party service is governed by that service's privacy policy, not this one.
Your data lives in the app, so you control it completely: delete individual dreams in the archive, delete everything from within the app, or delete DreamReel from your iPhone to remove all of its data. Uninstalling also removes the widget's on-device copy.
DreamReel is not directed to children under 13, and — since the app collects no data from anyone — it collects no data from children either.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The commitment it describes — no collection — is the product's design, not a setting we can quietly flip: the app has no server to collect to.
